Student Loan Repayment Options

At AVED Consulting Firm, we understand that one size does not fit all when it comes to repaying student loans. That's why we offer custom-tailored options to meet your budget and financial goals. Our team is dedicated to guiding you through the process, ensuring that you choose the repayment plan that suits your unique circumstances.

Let's explore some of the repayment options available to you:

Standard Repayment:

  • A 10-year repayment plan offering the lowest interest amount compared to other options.
  • Requires a reliable income to meet monthly expectations.

Income-Based Repayment (IBR):

  • Monthly payments based on income and family size.
  • Forgiveness after 20-25 years, depending on the loan origination date.

Pay as You Earn (PAYE):

  • Caps monthly payments at 10% of discretionary income.
  • Forgiveness after 20 years of qualifying payments.

Revised Pay as You Earn (REPAYE):

  • Limits monthly payments to 10% of discretionary income.
  • Eligible for loan forgiveness after 20-25 years.

Income Sensitive Repayment (ISR):

  • Allows you to set the percentage of income dedicated to loan payments.
  • Available for 5 years; caps monthly payments at 4-25% of gross income.

Income Contingent Repayment (ICR):

  • A 25-year repayment plan with forgiveness after 25 years.
  • Payments calculated at 20% of discretionary income or what it would be on a fixed 12-year adjusted income.

Extended Repayment:

  • Provides a 25-year repayment period, resulting in lower monthly payments.
  • Ideal for those struggling with current payments; requires a minimum outstanding loan amount of $30,000.

Graduated Repayment:

  • Monthly payments start low and increase every two years.
  • Suitable for recent graduates, allowing flexibility as you settle into your career.
